I want to share my recent watch. Disclaimer first, I'm not reviewing from a professional perspective, but from audience point of view. If you're agree with me, then welcome to the club. If not, it's ok, as long as we can share what's on our mind freely and not hurting others. :)
So, I've been watching a new Netflix series, title 'Emily in Paris'. It's typical rom-com/sit-com. Not that it's super funny, but it's a fresh series which portrays life of an American in Paris. I think we've seen enough young adult, reaching their quarter life, having the best times of their lives, feeling on top of the world, that they can achieve anything, but located in New York. This one is slightly different, it's located in Paris, a city renowned as 'city of love'. But still relatable because it's filmed based on American perspective, which is Emily, played by Lily Collins. I think it's genius.
I've watched the first 2 episodes and I'm captivated by Emily's words 'Fake it till you make it.' When I heard this, it's not just merely words, but I can feel Lily Collins' energy, she's saying it with passion and excitement. She's living her dream job in one of the most romantic city in the world. If I were she, I'd do the same thing.
Anyway, I can see myself loving this series because of the view, the fashion, and most importantly the energy from Emily. It makes me excited to go to work, planning my dream, and keep working with passion even under a lot of pressure and problem.
Keep working toward your dreams and goals. Fake it till you make it!
